The tire production plant in the Leningrad Region will change its label after NokianTyres leaves Russia and will look for new sales markets. This was announced by the governor of the region Alexander Drozdenko, according to whom NokianTyres will sell its business or transfer it to management.

Board of Directors of Nokian Tyres has appointed Andrew Pantyukhov from January 1st, 2017 Acting President and CEO of the Group. Currently, Mr. Pantyukhov takes the post of the CEO of Nokian Tyres Russia; this functionality will remain even with the entry into a new position.

At the end of 2015 sales of Nokian Tyres in Russia in Euro decreased by 34.8% compared to 2014 and they were 237 million euros. The decline in sales is mainly due to the weakening of the national currency against the euro, informed the press service of the Nokian Tyres in Russia.

Sales of Nokian Tyres reduced by 45.5% from €140.7 million to €76.8 million, and their share in the total sales of the concern decreased by 17.7% to 27.3%. The decline in the total proceeds was not that dramatic - by 9.8% from €311 million to €281.3 million.

Pirelli has invested EUR 99.8 million in the modernization of production at the Kirov tyre plant. It was announced by the CEO of “Pireli Tyre Russia”, Carlo Costa, during the launching ceremony of new rubber mixing shop in the plant.

One of the biggest Chinese producers of tyres — Triangle Group – defined the region of Russia, where it will build a plant. The production with a capacity of 4-6 million tyres per a year will be located in Bashkortostan, informed RBCdaily. Investments in the project will be up to 250 million Euros.

World producer of components Continental starts the production of tyres in Kaluga in October of 2013, said the CEO of “Continental Kaluga”, Georgy Rotov. Earlier the company didn’t specify the month and it was announced about the end of 2013. The construction of plant was started in 2011, investments in the first stage with the capacity of 4 million of passenger tyres per a year (this indicator would be reached by plant by 2016) remained the same – 240 million Euro.

The total investment volume of Pirelli in modernization of Kirov tyre plant will be about 100 million Euros. The tripartite agreement was signed by governor of Kirov region, Nikita Belyh, the acting General Manager of Pirelli in Russia, Gian Andrea Guglelmin, and General Manager of “Kirov tyre plant”, Valerii Nikolaev.

AutoVAZ and Petrochemical complex “Tatneft” concluded an agreement about strategic partnership, which presumes the delivery of tyres of “Nizhnekamskshina” production to Togliatti car plant during 2012-2014. Tyres will be delivered to AutoVAZ through the Trade House “Kama”, the delivery volume of 2012 will be 2-2,5 million tyres and 2,5-3 million units – in 2013, 3-3,5 million units – in 2014.

Italian company Pirelli plans to invest 100 million Euros in modernization of “Voronezh tyres plant”. “We bought this plant for 100 million Euros and we are going to invest the same sum for modernization of enterprise. We are going to increase significantly the production in site of Voronezh tyres plant by this investment.

Italian tyre holding Pirelli will invest over 400 million euro in Russia, having bought the plants in Voronezh and Kirov, which were a part of Amtel holding. Due to this, the Italian company intends to produce 8.5 million tyres in Russia and to earn 300 million euro next year. By 2014 Pirelli is planning to produce 10.5 million tyres per year, at that mostly with its own brand.
