Since January 18th, Sollers has resumed the production of eight-cylinder engines at the ZMZ industrial site. Gasoline and bi-fuel engines ZMZ series 523, 524 were produced until 2021 at the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant (now at the Zavolzhsky branch of UAZ LLC) until 2021 and were used in many well-known models of commercial vehicles and buses, the press service of the enterprise reports.

Zavolzhsky engine plant is going to produce 100 thousand engines in the nearest years, informed the CEO of Sollers, Vadim Schvetsov. By his words, the main consumer of ZMZ is Ulyanovsk plant, so the development of model range of engines will depend on UAZ.

Zavolzhsky motor plant (a part of Sollers group) sold 72728 engines of all modifications by the orders of plants and dealer organizations by the result of 11 months. It exceeded by 8,2% the result for the analogous period of 2010 and by 2,1% the indicator of finance plan.
