  The share of sales of foreign cars is growing in Russia

  According to the results of the 1st quarter of 2022, foreign cars have 75.7% of the total sales of new passenger cars and LCVs in Russia. Experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" noted that a year ago this figure was 74.3%, i.е. was 1.4 percentage points lower. The increase in the share of foreign cars is explained by the fact that their sales during the reporting period fell less than the whole market.

  TOP-10 of foreign cars of St. Petersburg

  According to data of analytic agency AUTOSTAT, there were more than 1,44 million cars by the middle of 2012 in St. Petersburg, among which more than two third of units (67,2% - 972 thousand units) - were foreign cars. By the words of director of AUTOSTAT agency, Sergey Tselikov, the number of foreign cars in St. Petersburg could exceed the mark of 1 million units by the end of year.

  Sales of new foreign cars in Primorsk region increased by 37%

  Primorsk region, where it was sold 4,9 thousand of new foreign cars (+ 37% to YOY basis) by the results of 2011, occupied 49th place in the rating “TOP-50 of regions by sales of new foreign cars in Russia”.

  Mr. Putin instructed the administration to work out the fee for cars recycling

  Premier Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin, instructed government to work out the issue about scrappage fee introduction as from foreign cars, so from Russian producers. He remarked that authorities will consider the issue about the support of Russian producers of vehicles in case of scrappage fee introduction.

  Every third LCV in Russia is foreign

   AUTOSTAT analytic agency prepared marketing report “Structure and forecast of commercial vehicle parc: light commercial vehicles (LCV), trucks (CV and HCV) and buses (BUS)”.  On 1 January 2011 commercial vehicle parc in our country was 7.34 million cars. About a half (48.2%) of the parc were light commercial vehicles (3.54 million units), a little less number (46.7%) belong to trucks (3.43 million units), and the rest 5.1% belong to buses (0.37 million units)

  The cars with automatic transmission occupied a half of Russian foreign car market

  By the results of 2010, there were equipped by automatic transmission 49,8% of foreign cars, which were sold in the Russian market. The result increased by 5,6% (from 44,2%) since the previous year. These data were received by the experts of analytical deprtement of AUTOSTAT agecny, according to the results of sales researches of passenger cars and light comemrcial vehicles in 2010 and 2009.
