Thanks to the cast-iron cylinder block and forged steel crankshaft, the new power unit has high strength and wear resistance, and thanks to the aluminum cylinder head, it has a low weight - only 220-228 kg, depending on the modification.

  Gorky Automobile Plant has expanded the range of Sobol NN modifications, which previously included only an all-metal van. According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, since the beginning of this year, a chassis version has appeared, which for the first time received a low cab, and today an onboard platform and various manufactured goods vans have been mastered as superstructures.

  Within the framework of the international exhibition Comtrans 2021, GAZ Group presented a compact city van “Sobol NN”, intended primarily for the rapidly growing segment of delivery services and e-commerce. Due to its small dimensions (car length - 5120 mm; height of the van presented at the stand –is 2430 mm) and a small turning radius (5.4 m), the car can easily move in heavy traffic, drive through narrow streets and busy warehouses, to park in the yards without interfering with passenger transport, the press service of the GAZ Group reports.
