    For the last year, 1 million 671.6 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is more by 13.3% than in the last year. At the same time, in December of 2018, sales of new cars were 158.3 thousand units, which is more by 3.9% than a year ago. As for crossovers and SUVs, their sales in January-December grew by 18.1% in compare with 2017 and they were 729.2 thousand cars. The segment's share in total sales grew by 1.7 percentage points and reached 43.6%.

"AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS" is an annual project of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", a survey of owners of new cars according to a certain methodology that makes it possible to compare the performance indicators over time.

The project is based on the formation of a representative sample corresponding to the regional structure of car sales of the studied brands. In the course of the study, we get a consumer estimation of the owners of the most popular brands in the ranking of Russian sales (about 30 brands).

The project also provides an opportunity to compare annually the change in indicators by brands, as well as to ask the respondents participating in the survey. The survey evaluated: satisfaction with the car (several parameters), satisfaction with the purchase and maintenance of the car at the service of an authorized dealer (several parameters), trust index in the dealer’s service center, re-purchase index and NPS index.

In 2019, the fourth wave of research took place. Due to the insufficient number of respondents in the sample, Chevrolet brand was excluded from the assessment, but Infiniti was added. As a result, the total number of brands represented in the report is 30, and the total number of respondents is more than 3,000 car owners.
