    For the last year, 1 million 671.6 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is more by 13.3% than in the last year. At the same time, in December of 2018, sales of new cars were 158.3 thousand units, which is more by 3.9% than a year ago. As for crossovers and SUVs, their sales in January-December grew by 18.1% in compare with 2017 and they were 729.2 thousand cars. The segment's share in total sales grew by 1.7 percentage points and reached 43.6%.

AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS is an annual project of the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, which is a survey of owners of new cars according to a certain methodology and makes it possible to compare indicators over time.

The project is based on the formation of a representative sample corresponding to the regional car sales structure of the studied brands. In the course of the study we get a consumer assessment of owners of the most popular brands in the ranking of Russian sales (about 30 brands).

The project also provides an opportunity to compare the change in indicators by brand annually, as well as ask your own questions to respondents participating in the survey.

The survey assesses:

  • satisfaction with the car (for a number of parameters),
  • satisfaction with the service at the official dealer service (for a number of parameters),
  • the trust index for the dealer's service center,
  • the repurchase index and the NPS index.

In 2018, the third wave of research took place. Due to the low sales volume, the Great Wall brand was excluded from the assessment. As a result, the total number of brands presented in the report is 30, and the total number of respondents is more than 3,000 car owners.
