Russian women prefer SUVs of middle class

Russian women are paying full attention to the car's safety and prefer SUVs of middle class. It is evidenced by the results of a new consumer research of KIA Consumer Focus, which has affected the question of gender differences in the approach to the choice of car. The next survey is not only differentiated preferences of male and female audiences, but also revealed their top priorities. 

The results showed that the most controversial in the sense of the differences in the approach to the choice of the car was the question of relations between the sexes to safety. Even though an impressive percentage of men that always wear a seat belt (about 81%), women have demonstrated even greater discipline - more than 87% said about unconditional use of seat. In this case, about 63% on both sides think positively about the sound or graphic reminder, but the technology «Hands free» women are using at least - 52.7% versus 66.1% of men. 

However, running lights, as an element of security, not only as an attribute of appearance, are estimated by 59% of men and almost 64% of women. However, nearly 50% of the female audience finds it necessary to have at least 4 airbags (40% for men) and always pay attention to the results of crash tests (about 45% of men side pay attention to the tests). 

In this connection, we should also pay attention to the preferred types of cars - women vote generally for SUVs (58%), but do not rule out the possibility of buying the full-size sedan (almost 20%). Only 15% of women dream about the compact city car; men, in turn, also opt for SUVs (56%), but prefer large sedans (over 24%). Both sides pay separately attention to fuel consumption (around 80%), pass ability (42.5%), the amount of luggage (about 35%) and the overall level of comfort in the cabin (about 70%), but women are more concerned with the appearance (76% vs. 71.5% of men) and handling (75% and 70.5% of the male audience) of car. 

With regard to price ranges and engines (given the size of vehicle tax), opinion was divided as follows: men almost equally (20-24%) consider segments 300-500 thousand, 500-750 thousand, 750 thousand - 1 million Rubles and 1.0 million - 1.5 million rubles, while women tend to sums within 500-750 rubles (30.5%) and 750 thousand - 1 million rubles (26%); optimal engines 1.6-1.8 and 2.0-2.4 are recognized by almost 45.5% and 36.5% male audience, and nearly 53% with 25% of women, respectively.
