Chevrolet Niva is updated in stages, and it will have "automatic" transmission

Updated Chevrolet Niva will be put on the assembly line in December of 2015. Less than a month it will be shown a concept of SUV at the Moscow Motor Show, and while the dosed information about it comes to the market.

It is known that in 2013 it was introduced in design of Chevrolet NIVA over 20 changes that are promoting increase of reliability and it was improved the quality of components and assemblies. Among them: the changing of material of expansion tank, increase of the reliability of door locks, modification of design and material of seals of the drain gutters.

In January of 2014 there was certainty on the engine: JV GM-AVTOVAZ and Peugeot Citroën Automobiles signed a license agreement, authorizing the installation of petrol engines PSA Peugeot Citroën EC8 1.8l., 135 hp, with torque 170 nm on cars Chevrolet NIVA of new generation (production of engines is localized at the SEZ "Togliatti").

Since the end of January, cars Chevrolet NIVA of all versions are equipped with: gas-filled shock absorbers with improved construction of joints (reduced noise, enhanced the reliability of joints); the front seats of a new design with a reinforced frame and backrest tilt control, the better lateral support and enhanced brim; a new form of head restraints; front brake pads with improved friction composition (reduced noise when braking the vehicle).

From February 6th cars Chevrolet NIVA of configurations L, LC, LE, GLS, GLC are equipped with new, more powerful generator of company Bosch (110A, 14V).

And the most recent information at the moment - except version with permanent four-wheel drive and manual transmission the new Niva will have versions with an automatic gearbox and monodrive.
