Lada Granta fortifies as the Russian bestseller

The Lada Granta, which has been the best selling model in Russia for more than 20 months, is fortifying its leading position with the new liftback modification. 

According to the review of the Russian market, the Lada Granta remains the best selling model in Russia with 12,947 vehicles (-11%) sold in May. According to AVTOVAZ, the Lada Granta liftback went on sale on 15 May and the demand for this modification has come up to about 2,000 vehicles for two weeks. That enabled to increase the share of the Lada Granta from 35% to 38% of the total AVTOVAZ sales.

The second place was kept by the Hyundai Solaris - the sales of the most popular foreign car in Russia came up to 9,791 vehicles (-7%). The third place was taken by the Kia Rio with 8,513 vehicles (+7%). The Lada Largus remains the leading estate car with 7,448 vehicles (+41%). The Renault Duster is still the best selling SUV with 6,835 vehicles (-5%). Then come the Lada Kalina (5,730 vehicles; -1%), the Volkswagen Polo (5,393 vehicles; -12%), the Renault Logan (5,130 vehicles; +7%). TOP-10 also includes two Nissan models - the Almera (4,456 vehicles; growth 3.8 times) and the Qashqai (4,031 vehicles; +75%).
