Service increases share in dealer’s proceeds

Unlike new car sales maintenance service has stable dynamics. According to AvtoBusinessReview magazine’s rating of dealer holdings, in 2013 total proceeds from service and component sales grew by 17%. A year ago this dynamics was 18% as well. 

Total turnover of 55 companies is 130.7 billion roubles, the results of TOP-25 holdings exceeded 105 billion roubles. So the share of service came close to 14% of dealers’ proceeds. The share of maintenance service in after-sales service decreased to 33%. We should also mention that dynamics of standard hour work was less as compared to proceeds growth: the total result of the rating participants exceeded 28.9 million standard hours, that is 12% growth. 

In 2014 the situation in maintenance service segment will depend on three factors: dynamics of warranty parc, decrease in the number of out-of-warranty vehicles from 3 to 5 years old as well rise in prices for spare parts due to rouble depreciation.
