According to the survey, for the year (from November of 2017 to October of 2018), 48 cars were sold per one thousand Russians, incl. 11 new cars and 37 used ones.



Nokian Tyres has reduced sales in Russia by 20% in the first quarter

Sales of Nokian Tyres in Russia and CIS countries in the first quarter of 2014 decreased by 23.4 % and they were 142.7 million euros. Sales declined by 20.2 % to 140.7 million euros only in Russia, wrote the newspaper “Vedomosti”. The company connects sales falling with the weakening of the Russian ruble. The volume of sales in Russia increased in quantitative terms compared to the same period of the last year. Increase was observed in the sector of winter tires “due to the growing share of tires of middle price segment, despite the stagnation of sales in the market for new cars in Russia. “Sales of summer tires were kept at a low level because the warehouses of distributors have high stocks “due to weak summer seasons in 2012-2013”.

The investment of Nokian Tyres will be EUR 25 million to Russia in 2014 and they will be used to launch new production facilities. In Russia, Nokian Tyres owns a tire plant in Vsevolozhsk, which has 13 production lines with a total capacity of more than 15 million tires per year. In 2014, the company is going to launch another line at the plant.
