“Rolf” predicts sales growth by 5 % in 2014

In 2013, “Rolf” increased sales of new vehicles by 18.2 %, by selling 80,163 cars. The share of “Rolf” in the sales of new foreign cars in Russia in comparison with 2012 increased by 0.7 percentage points and it was 3.8%. Division BlueFish, responsible for cars with mileage, also showed a sales growth by 45 % - to 18,153 cars. The volume of car sales to corporate customers in 2013 was 16,636 units (21% of total sales of the Retail division of “Rolf” in the last year). As “Rolf” remarked, the company expanded its portfolio of brands by Porsche and Jaguar Land Rover, and it opened five new car centers in Moscow and St. Petersburg to implement the sales plan in 2013.

“The market dictates the rules - the players need to focus not so much on the sales of new cars, but also in other areas of business in the new conditions. In particular, they are after-sales, financial services, sales of cars with mileage”, - says the CEO of the Retail division of “Rolf”, Tatiana Lukovetskaya. – “So, the sales of financial products, such as the sale of insurance policies and renewals per car that is sold in “Rolf” in 2013 was 24.3 thousand rubles, which is more by 30% than in 2012. In addition, the new “Rolf” direction - corporate sales - showed itself perfectly”.

As regards the assessment of the market in 2014, “Rolf” notes that the pace of development of the Russian car market will continue to decline. The key factors that have a negative impact on the market will decrease economic growth and the effect of the devaluation of the ruble from falling. New car sales for the year may fall by 5-10% due to the falling of Russian brands. By the end of 2014, sales of new foreign cars in the optimistic scenario could grow by 2-3%, mainly due to the premium segment. The pessimistic scenario assumes a decline in sales of cars by 1-2%. You can most likely to predict an increase in trade-in sales by 25-30%. In 2014, “Rolf” plans to sell 85,000 cars and show growth of 5.1 % to the last year, which is higher than the forecast of growth rate of the market.
