“Autotor” started the production of commercial vehicles Hyundai HD65

Kaliningrad plant “Autotor” started the production of medium-duty trucks HD65 with a capacity up to 4 tons. The car is equipped with a diesel engine, adapted to the Russian fuel conditioning system, ABS and auxiliary hydraulic devices. The car HD65 is equipped with a wide range of universal and special bodies at the Kaliningrad plant. Today “Autotor” produces several models of trucks Hyundai: HD65, HD78, HD120 and HD170.

Recall that the assembly of commercial vehicles Hyundai began at “Avtotor” in September of 2012. “Autotor” and Hyundai-Kia group invested in the project about $ 23 million in approximately equal proportions. The created production capacity at the first phase (up to 2015) will reach 10,000 vehicles per year from 3 to 7 models, and it is planned to boost the production volume up to 25,000 cars a year by 2018. It is planned to put into production the whole model range of Hyundai trucks with a wide range of generic and specific add-ins, as well as buses. At the present time it was started the development of concrete program of production localization. Production of all superstructures on the produced chassis of cars is provided mainly by enterprises of the Kaliningrad region.

In 2013, “Autotor” produced 1,205 commercial vehicles Hyundai – it is more 3.2 times than the year before (the assembly began in September of 2012).
