It was discussed the behavior patterns change on the stagnant market at the final conference of the year

The Fourth Annual Automotive Conference “Automotive market in Russia - Results, Trends and Forecasts, which was organized by the analytic agency AUTOSTAT and the company “Avtomarketolog.ru” in Moscow on February 26th.

We had an active work on parallel organized sections – “Passenger cars”, “Commercial vehicles”. Both sections have included reports on “Results, trends, forecasts”. Then it was discussion of more specialized areas of automotive marketing.

Thus, experts in the field of car sales held dialogues on the theme “Changing of behavior patterns on the stagnant market”, discussed the opportunities and future directions of work with the secondary market, the issues related to leasing and car loans. By the way, the statistics say that by the end of 2013 the share of new car sales in credit will be close to the level of 50%. Significant role in this was played by a state program of preferential lending: it was issued 276,000 preferential loans within the program from July to December.

Interest in the market of commercial vehicles was shown by about a third of the participants. The executive director of AA “AUTOSTAT”, Sergei Udalov, reported with the analysis of the current situation of light commercial vehicles; Andrew Toptun, the leading analyst of AA “AUTOSTAT” made a report on trucks with a forecast for the future in the framework of the section”. It is worth noting that in 2013 the truck market in Russia decreased by 14.3% to 109,000 units (CV + HCV). Conference participants tried to understand together what is happening with sales of commercial vehicles in the world and Russian markets, to assess the future challenges and expectations.
