“Derways” began the production of crossover JAC S5

Circassian plant “Derways” started the production of crossover JAC S5, which will go on sale in March of this year. The car will be available at the price of 649,000 rubles in the configuration Luxury 2.0 L and 719 thousand rubles in the configuration Superb 2.0 TL, informed the company “Bogdan Auto Rus”, which is the exclusive distributor of JAC in Russia.

It was not specified about the start of sales and assembly site of other Chinese brand models, writes the magazine “AvtoSreda”. It is assumed that the JAC J5 sedan will be delivered to the Russian market from Ukrainian plant “Bogdan”, and hatchback J2 - from China.

The most accessible version of the front- crossover JAC S5 includes airbags for driver and front passenger, ABS + EBD system, tire pressure monitoring system, emergency braking assistance (EBA), electronic stability control system, hydro power steering, air conditioning, rear parking sensors. Superb configuration is supplemented with the leather interior, traction control, hill assistant.

JAC S5 is equipped with a 2.0 liter gasoline engine (136 HP), equipped with 5 – speed manual transmission and turbocharged unit of similar capacity, but it is reaching 176 HP and it has a 6 - speed manual transmission.
