Russia is in the third place in Europe by sales of electric Mitsubishi i-MiEV

Russia is among the top three of European countries on the basis of sales of electric Mitsubishi i-MiEV for 11 months in 2013, along with Norway and Spain. Top-5 is closed by Germany and Switzerland. In January-November, it was sold 109 Mitsubishi i-MiEV electric vehicles in Russia, which is 2.4 times more than in the same period of the last year.

In Russia, despite the lack of state support for electric market, the developed charging infrastructure and a higher price for the product (price Mitsubishii-MiEV – is 1 million 799 thousand rubles / about 40 thousand euros), sales of electric vehicles is much greater than the analogues figures in European countries. For example, Russia has sold 2.4 times more electric than in the Netherlands and three times more than in France for 11 months in 2013.

“The Russian market of electric vehicles demonstrates stable growth against the backdrop of the fall of the automotive market. The following year, Mitsubishi will introduce electric cars Outlander PHEV with extended power reserve in the Russian market, which already has a huge success in Europe”, - said the CEO of “MMC Rus”, Andrey Pankov.

Mitsubishii-MiEV – is the first electric vehicle to date, which is sold in Russia since 2011. i-MiEV is equipped with a 67 HP electric motor, capable to accelerate to a maximum speed of 130 km / h and to cover the distance of 150 km on a full charge. Today Mitsubishii-MiEV is sold in more than 20 cities of Russia, from Kaliningrad to Novosibirsk.
