AvtoVAZ began the production of engines and transmissions Renault-Nissan

AvtoVAZ has launched commodity production of powertrains K4 / J and gearboxes JH / JR on November 25th. Recall that there were implemented the finishing operations this summer for commissioning of new equipment of new shop, then it was assembled the first 150 transmissions JH / JR and almost 300 engines K4.

According to the newspaper “Volgsky avtostroitel”, the production of engines and gearboxes Renault-Nissan is working in one shift now. The shop will reach the design capacity in 2014. It is planned that the assembly lines, by working in three shifts, will produce 300,000 engines and 300,000 transmissions per year, which will close almost completely the needs of line B0, and partly, the necessities of Renault plant in Moscow.

Recall that the engines and boxes on line B0 come now from Romania, ILN- center. While the production volumes increasing, these supplies will decrease. The decision on the localization of engine and transmission for line B0 was adopted in 2009.
