The Japanese car market is growing the second month in a row

According to the Japanese car dealers association (JADA), sales of passenger cars in the land of the rising sun increased by 18.6 % to 232,922 units by the results of October of 2013, excluding mini -cars with an engine capacity of up to 660 cubic centimeters. Thus, the growth of sales was fixed a second consecutive month due to the low base effect, as the government program to subsidize the purchase of environmentally friendly vehicles was stopped the last September. For ten months of 2013 the Japanese car market fell by 8 % to 2 million 406 thousand 435 cars.

According to JADA, Toyota keeps the leadership in October, sales of which were 114,814 vehicles (+11.7 %). Nissan is in the second place by sales with the indicator of 38,012 cars (+90 %). Honda closes the TOP-3 of leaders, which sold 28,467 vehicles – it is less by 0.1% than a year before.

Meanwhile, JADA predicts a fall in the Japanese car market in 2013 at the level of 13 % in compare with the last year (3 million 14 thousand cars) in connection with the completion of the state program to subsidize the purchase of environmentally friendly vehicles , as well as the expected increase in various taxes and rising costs of insurance policies.
