Range Rover and Range Rover Sport received hybrid versions

The Company Jaguar Land Rover presented a hybrid version of the SUVs Range Rover and Range Rover Sport of a new generation. The acceptance of orders for models, which are equipped with the same diesel-electric power installations, will start in the UK from September 10th, when the cars will be shown for the first time to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and deliveries will start at the beginning of 2014.

According to CARscope.ru, a hybrid drive Range Rover Hybrid and Range Rover Sport Hybrid have a 3.0-liter diesel V6, 48-HP electric motor (170 Nm), lithium-ion batteries placed in the floor, and an 8-level automatic transmission ZF. The mass of the entire installation, including batteries, is less than 120 kg. The total capacity of the power plant is 340 HP (torque is 700 Nm).

Range Rover Hybrid accelerates to 100 km / h for 6.9 seconds, the version Sport - for 6.7 seconds, and the top speed is 218 km / h and 225 km / h, respectively. Car fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 6.4 liters per 100 kilometers. Range Rover Hybrid will be able to overcome up to 1.6 km with a maximum speed of 48 km / h in all-electric mode (EV).
