Dynamics of car sales by segments in 2017

The Japanese car market goes down

According to Japanese Automotive Dealers Association (JADA), in June 2013 passenger car sales in Japan decreased by 17.5% to 282,804 cars, without minicars with engine under 660 cm3. So, after the slight growth in April the Japanese car market has been decreasing for two months.

According to JADA, Toyota remains the leader with 108,680 cars sold in June (-20.3%). The second place was taken by Nissan with 30,859 cars (-13.6%). Honda took the third place with 26,757 cars, which is 40.7% less than a year ago.

Meanwhile, due to the termination of the State program for subsidized purchase of environmentally-friendly vehicles, as well as the expected increase in taxes and rise in insurance prices, JAVA talks the Japanese automotive market down by 13% in 2013 as compared to the previous year (3.14 million vehicles).
