The secondary market of spare parts was $ 20.5 billion

tyres.jpgAccording to the analytical agency AUTOSTAT, the total secondary market of automotive components and spare parts for passenger cars in Russia in 2012 was 845 million units of various parts. In monetary terms, it is equivalent to $20.45 billion. These data are presented in a new marketing report “Russian market of automotive components and spare parts for passenger cars”. Among the most popular goods experts remarked tyres, suspension parts, oil and fluids, which have over 30% of the market.

Concerning the forecast for 2013, the market is expected to grow both in quantity and in value terms. Thus, it will be sold about 880 million units of spare parts (+4%) in the secondary market of automotive components at the end of this year that will be more than $ 21,2 billion (+3.8%) in terms of money.

“The growing parc of cars in the country leads to demand growth for spare parts, which affects directly on their sales”, - suggests a leading analyst of AUTOSTAT agency, Azat Timerhanov.
