About 50% of used cars go from Moscow to regions

 

used car.jpgAbout 50% of used cars that were sold in Moscow go to the regions. These data were received by analysts of Superavtomarket “Formula 91” as a result of conducted research of sales geography of used cars. There are 25% of citizens of other regions of Russia in average that come to buy cars in Moscow and their number reach 50% in some months. The main motivation of used cars buying in Moscow region is a big choice of vehicles in the capital.

According to data of poll, citizens of many regions of Russia come for the purchase of used cars in Moscow. The respondents were 500 people (400 of men (80%) and 100 women (20%)) that represented such regions as Kaliningrad, Tula, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Tambov and also Republic Dagestan, Republic Udmurtia, Stavropol region, Krasnodar region and some others. About 60% of customers said that the reason of buying a used car in Moscow is a big choice of vehicles, 15% of respondents remarked low prices in compare with the offers in their city, 7% remarked the availability desired car. Also among reasons were named the availability of qualitative cars and high service level.

Besides, by the results of poll about 35% of respondents are ready to pay additional funds for the technical expertise of vehicle to avoid surprises on the way home. 

“The majority number of customers from regions is explained by the Moscow market saturation”, - commented the manager of sales department of Superavtomarket “Formula 91”, Stanislav Serdyuk. – “Regional markets often suffer from deficit of offers of used cars, for example, if the model is not sold in Russia by official dealers. Concerning a choice, sales of cars by citizens of regions differ by the high popularity of domestic and Chinese car industry – about 50% of Chinese used cars and up to 70% of domestic used cars go to other subjects of RF”.
