FAS is not against the control receiving in AutoVAZ by alliance

Federal antimonopoly service of Russia doesn’t see serious barriers for control in AutoVAZ receiving by alliance Renault-Nissan, informed the head of FAS of RF, Igor Artemiev. “There was no official application but we know about negotiations. We suppose that there are no serious restrictions for such deals realization”, - he said.

By the words of Mr. Artemiev, according to the information that is available for Ministry, “it is a very big and very important for Russia investment project of two big foreign companies that are in alliance and they are going to invest in the Russian car industry”.

It should be reminded that Renault and AutoVAZ concluded an agreement about strategic partnership in February of 2008, within which French company got the blocking stake in AutoVAZ (25% plus one share). Alliance Renault-Nissan holds negotiations with shareholders of AutoVAZ – GC “Rostechnologii” and IC “Troika Dialog” – about the purchase of control share in the Russian car plant. It is presumed that Renault will increase its share in AutoVAZ to 35% and Nissan will have 15%, wrote AutoNews.Ru.

At the beginning of April of 2012 the head of state corporation “Rostechnologii”, Sergey Chemezov, announced that shareholders of AutoVAZ are going to take decision about the deal of sale of control share of company to alliance Renault-Nissan at the end of month. In his turn the General Manager of Renault in Russia, Bruno Anselen, said about intents of alliance Renault-Nissan to receive 50% plus one share of Russian car producer.
