By the results of March Toyota Yaris is in the TOP-10 of the most saleable models in Europe and it outstripped a business-sedan Volkswagen Passat. As representatives of Research Company JATO Dynamics remarked, the biggest European market was Great Britain in the previous month and the most popular models in this country were able to improve their positions in TOP-10. Meanwhile, Toyota Company hopes for the future success of its European bestseller in connection with the production launch of hybrid version Toyota Yaris, which was started at the beginning of April in plant in France. As remarked in Toyota, Yaris became the first hybrid car in the most mass B-segment in Europe and by 2020 the company is going to equip with hybrid installations the whole model range, which is presented in the European market. Efficient hybrids become more and more popular in the Old World in conditions of price for petrol growing.

According to data of JATO Dynamics, the most popular model in Europe in March was Volkswagen Golf with indicator of 52933 vehicles (+0,7%). The second place was occupied at first for this year by Ford Fiesta, sales of which decreased by 4,8% to 47888 cars. Opel/Vauxhall Corsa got the third place – sales of this model were 38809 vehicles (-2,4%). The fourth result was shown by Volkswagen Polo – 36948 of sold cars (-5,8%). This time Ford Focus closes the row of five leaders and it was sold 32829 of these cars (-4,8%). Opel/Vauxhall Astra (31091 units, -16,6%), Nissan Qashqai (30237 units, +21,5%), Renault Clio (28686 units, -19,5%), Peugeot 207 (23582 units, -24,5%) and Toyota Yaris (22856 units, +18,1%) are also in the TOP-10 of the most saleable models in Europe.
