Russian car market decreased growth rates in March

 

According to data of Association of European Business, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia were 252816 vehicles by the results of March and it is more by 13% than in the previous year. By the results of three months of 2012 Russian car market increased by 19% to 614273 vehicles. As representatives of AEB remarked, the market of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia continues to show the stable growth in March, though in a lower level than it has during the first two months of 2012. Representatives of Committee of car producers observe the signs of market normalization that is connected with cars stocks decreasing that were produced in 2011 and the delivery growth of cars that were produced in 2012. By this moment AEB is sticking to its forecast, by which it will be sold 2,8 million cars in Russia in 2012.

The leadership of the Russian market is still belonged to AutoVAZ, which shows the sales falling the fifth consecutive month – they decreased by 17% to 43593 cars by the results of March, with account of small-scale models of “Super-Auto” and “PSA “Bronto” and also vehicles that were produced by “IzhAuto” and “Chechenauto”. Nissan got the second place by sales volume, which was 17105 units (+66%), and it provided for Japanese brand the leadership in the market of foreign cars. Thereby, the bestseller of brand is still crossover of B-class Juke the second consecutive month, which outstripped even Qashqai. The third place is occupied by Hyundai with indicator of 16263 of sold cars (+30%), 65% of which were provided by Solaris model. The fourth result was shown by Renault – 15524 cars (+17%), thereby, more than 70% of sales were Logan and Sandero models. Chevrolet, which increased sales by 11% to 15425 cars, still closes the row of five leaders. Volkswagen (15098 units, +114%), Kia (15070 units, +25%), Toyota (13973 units, +11%), Ford (11479 units, +8%) and Skoda (8112 units, +47%) are in the TOP-10 of the most saleable cars by the results of March.
