    Experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" in the framework of the new research "AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS - 2018. Car tires: car owners' preferences" conducted a survey on the choice and operation of winter tires. The results of a survey that was conducted in November showed that 94.2% of respondents “change” their tires for the winter ones and only 5.8% do not have a second set of tires.

Nissan is the leader in St. Petersburg the third consecutive month

According to data of «Auto-Dealer-SPb» agency, it was sold 24452 of new passenger cars in January-February of 2012 in St. Petersburg and it is more by 25% than in the analogous period of the previous year. It was sold 13975 cars in this city in February and it exceeded by 21% the indicator of the previous year.

Brands that have local production in Russia strengthened their positions in top-10 of leaders in St. Petersburg market. By the results of January-February they have about 70% of market of new cars in city. Sales of leaders of TOP-10 fall only at Lada cars, which fell down from 7th to 8th place in compare with January, and Skoda cars.

“Nissan remained at the first place the third consecutive month, due to the sales growth of Juke brand, which outstripped such popular model as X-Trail, – said the General Manager of «Auto-Dealer-SPb», Michail Chaplygin. – Concerning Lada we could say that Russian brand continues to fall because of deficit of Granta and high base of the previous year, which was provided by state programs of sales stimulating”.

Japanese brands Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Honda, Lexus, Italian Fiat, that didn’t choose a strategy in the Russian market and Russian UAZ still could not align sales. Thereby, high dynamics of growth is demonstrated by models of premium class. Sales of expensive cars 2-3 times outstripped the whole St. Petersburg market.

“The high demand for expensive foreign cars makes St. Petersburg the very profitable market and demand for low-cost cars moves to regions, so the share of city in quantitative terms of Russian market decreases”, - remarked Michail Chaplygin.
