GM-AutoVAZ held a marketing conference

In the previous week the two-day annual conference of dealers of GM-AutoVAZ was held in Kaliningrad, in which more than 90 of marketing specialists of Russia and CIS countries participated. The conference was devoted traditionally to results of the previous year, announcement and approving of plans for 2012. The aim of conference is the coordination of joint forces of dealers and GM-AutoVAZ in providing the leading positions of brand Chevrolet Niva and global brand Chevrolet in 2012.

As the press office of GM-AutoVAZ informed AUTOSTAT agency, the dealer network increasing was not implemented in 2011 because of limited production capacities in 2011. The number of dealers in Russia remained on the mark of 150 during the previous year. Meanwhile, the work of dealer network improvement was held. Also the dealer network of GM-AutoVAZ increasing is not planned to be in the first half of 2012. If it would be necessary the enterprise would be able to increase the number of dealers up to 160 units and it will continue the planned growth.

“Concerning the quality increasing of after sales service, GM-AutoVAZ has done the following: a control over dealer observance of corporative standards was strengthened, nomenclature of accessories was increased, terms decreasing of spare parts delivery to dealers is being discussed with carriers”, – informed the press office of joint venture.

According to data of AEB, sales of Chevrolet Niva were 54425 cars (+54%) in the Russian market in 2011. As analysts of AUTOSTAT agency remarked, SUV of GM-AutoVAZ is in the top-10 of the most saleable models in Russia and it is the bestseller of Chevrolet with 31% share in sales volume of brand. As it was informed earlier, joint venture is going to produce 63 thousand cars.
