Production of cars in the world could increase by 5% in 2012

The biggest world producer of components, German company Robert Bosch GmbH, forecasts the production of cars growing in the world by 3-5% in 2012.

"We expect that in 2011 the world production of cars will increase by 4% and we expect the growth of 3-5% in 2012", - said the head of automotive subdivision of Bosch, Bernd Bor. He also remarked that the serious redistribution of demand in a favour of electric cars won't be till 2025. "We don't expect the serious shift of demand for ecologic vehicles till the middle of the next decade", - cited AutoNews.Ru the words of Mr. Bor.

It should be reminded that consulting company PricewaterhouseCoopers forecasted that the world production of cars would increase by 9% in 2012 and it could be the record number of 82,8 million cars. The world car industry must produce 76 million cars this year and it is more by 6% than in the previous one. By the words of partner, manager of practice of service for companies of automotive branch of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Russia, Stanley Ruth, mainly it is connected with the demand growth in China and India together with market of USA recovery and with the world demand growth for premium brands. But the recovery is very slow in European Union because of finishing of many scrappage programs.

As Mr. Ruth remarked, Asian-Pacific region became the locomotive of production growth in the quickly development markets, when the possibilities of growth of developing markets are limited for the foreseeable future. So, in 2010-2017 the contribution of China and India in the world production growth will be 38,5% and 12%, respectively. Brazil will provide 6,4% of world industry growth during this period and Russia - 6,2%.
