The negotiations about merging of MAZ and KAMAZ have no progress

The negotiations about MAZ and KAMAZ merging have no progress because of politic reasons from Byelorussian side, said the head of Rostechnologii, Sergey Chemezov. We hold negotiations with Minsk but they were frozen, - he said. Here, apparently, the situation is only political. We cant agree with them about something at the present time.

The head of Rostechnologii also underlined principal disagreements with Byelorussian party about the joint venture creation, wrote ITAR-TASS agency. They made their offer but it didnt suit for us, - added Mr. Chemezov and he explained that the Byelorussian side offered to create the joint venture on parity basement. And we offer to estimate their assets and our ones and then to implement the exchange of shares, - said the head of Rostechnologii. By his words, the costs of assets of MAZ and KAMAZ are very different and in favour of Byelorussian side. At the beginning of June the deputy premier-minister of Byelorussia, Vladimir Semashko, said that Byelorussia and Russia plan to make the drafts of documents of holding creation with participation of MAZ and KAMAZ till the end of year. By his words, the collaboration will be built on the transferring of some shares as of KAMAZ, so of MAZ and also some other plants that are in their infrastructure in the management of Rosbelauto.

At the present time MAZ belongs to government of Byelorussia by 100%. The main shareholder of KAMAZ is Rostechnologii with share of 49,9%, German concern Daimler has 11% of shares, Troika Dialog - 27,26%, EBRD 4%.
