Leaders and outsiders of the Russian car market in the 1st quarter of 2020


Figure of week: 60% of the secondary market of Russia is cars older than 7 years

There are resold more of old and used cars in Russia. Cars, which are older than 7 years, occupied 60,6% of the age structure of market. The share of cars from 3 to 7 years is 32,1%. The youngest cars before 3 years have only 7,3%. These data were presented by Sergey Tselikov, director of AUTOSTAT agency during the report in conference MARKET OF USED CARS, which was held in Moscow on May 26th.
The biggest share in the secondary market is belonged to LADA 39,4%. Toyota is on the second place 12,0%. Another one Japanese brand is also popular among Russians, it is Nissan, though it lags far behind the leaders by share size - 6,4%. The other brands are in the limits of 3% and they pressed each other: Mitsubishi 3,0%; GAZ and Ford - 2,9% each; Honda - 2,8%; Volkswagen 2,7%.
The volume of Russian market of used cars in 2010 was 4,1 million units.
