KAMAZ is going to launch its own scrappage program of trucks in testing regime in May. The director of marketing and advertising of KAMAZ, Ashot Arutyunyan, informed about it AUTOSTAT agency during the second automotive conference for analysts and specialists of marketing Market of commercial vehicles in Russia results, instruments, forecasts, which was held in Moscow. By his words, the experiment will be held in the base of trade-service centre of KAMAZ in Naberezhnye Chelny and it will concern the customers of Tatarstan. We plan to study all mechanisms of scrappage program during one- two months and then we age going to increase it, -said Mr. Arutyunyan. According to the conditions of program, there will be given 100 thousand Roubles for a purchase of new KAMAZ vehicle in case of old truck scrap of any brand that was older than 15 years. As Mr. Aruyunyan remarked, the scrappage program will allow KAMAZ to increase the production rates and also to stimulate the sales in 2012, when the dynamics of trucks market growth will decrease.
Concerning the federal scrappage program of commercial vehicles, which is being worked out by the government and could be launched in 2012, by the words of Mr. Aruyunyan, KAMAZ is going to occupy the share in it and also in the whole market of 45-50%.
