Vsevolozhsk plant Ford introduced the third shift

Russian plant Ford in Vsevolozhsk (Leningrad region) started to work in three shifts. As the general manager of Ford plant in Russia, Grey Grinway, remarked, the third shift introduction was provided by the growing demand for cars Focus and Mondeo of Russian production and also by the stabilization of Russian economy. It should be reminded that the plant started to work in two shifts in September of 2009.
As the president and managing director of Ford in Russia, Mark Oveden, informed earlier, by the results of 2011 Vsevolozhsk plant Ford plans to produce about 90 thousand cars that exceeds the previous year indicator by 12% (80,4 thousand cars). Besides, the enterprise will start to produce models Focus of new generation in July. By the words of Mr. Oveden, the Russian dealers will accept the orders for new Focus in June and the clients will receive new cars in September. It is planned to produce 20-25 thousand cars of new generation Focus till the end of year. By commenting the plans of enterprise about the design capacity of 125 thousand cars a year achieving, Mr. Oveden remarked that it could happen in 2012 but it depends on the market conditions. It should be reminded that at the present time the enterprise Ford produces the models Focus and Mondeo in Leningrad region.
