GM-AUTOVAZ increased the production by 42,6% in the I quarter

By the results of I quarter of 2011 there were produced 10744 cars in the assembly line of GM-AUTOVAZ and it was more by 42,6% than in the previous year. It should be reminded that the joint venture stopped the production twice in February and March because of short deliveries of hydraulic booster from company �Rulevye systemy�. Although, this idles of assembly line won�t influence on the annual plan, informed the representatives of GM-AUTOVAZ. In 2011 the joint venture plans to produce about 52 thousand Chevrolet Niva vehicles and it will be more by 40% than in the previous year.
Meanwhile, GM-AUTOVAZ sold to the dealers 10821 vehicles in January-March (48,6%), among them 536 vehicles were delivered for export in CIS countries (+15,8%). It should be remarked that GM-AUTOVAZ increased prices for its vehicles twice in Russia this year � so Chevrolet Niva vehicles became more expensive by 10 thousand Roubles.
As the president of AUTOVAZ, Igor Komrov, informed earlier, AUTOVAZ and General Motors signed a report about intents that provides the capacities of joint venture GM-AUTOVAZ increasing from 94 thousand to 120 thousand vehicles a year, the half of which will be produced under the brand Lada. Therewith, AUTOVAZ will transfer the production of vehicles Lada 4x4 of new generation to the joint venture. The parties will define the final conditions of collaboration in May, said the head of AUTOVAZ.
