TOP-10 of foreign cars in park of Moscow

According to the prompt data of AUTOSTAT agency, the park of capital consists of 3,31 million passenger cars by the results of 9 months, 2010 year. The share of foreign cars is about two-third of this amount (64,8% or 2,14 million units).
The most spread foreign brand in Moscow is Ford. There were 182,5 thousand citizens of Moscow that have Ford car as of October 1st. The second by popularity foreign car among inhabitants of capital is Toyota (166956 units). Nissan (163,1 thousand units) is on the third place. Hyundai (136,8 thousand units), Mitsubishi (129,0 thousand units), Volkswagen (110,7 thousand units), Chevrolet (95,9 thousand units), Opel (91,6 thousand units), Mercedes-Benz (90,8 thousand units) and KIA (86,4 thousand units) are also in the TOP-10 of brands.
But only Mitsubishi of all leading brands has the negative dynamics for last three months (there were 129,1 thousand of this brand cars in the park by the results of half of year). Experts explained it by the special features of capital car market. Many customers prefer to buy the used foreign cars in capital. It is easier to find a proper model and to negotiate with an owner about a price, which will give an opportunity to get a profit by selling it in a region, - Sergey Udalov, deputy director of AUTOSTAT agency, commented, - This trend is suitable for all foreign brands but their ratio of new cars sales and used cars doesnt let to decrease the absolute indicator of park.
In Moscow 12% of foreign cars park are new cars.
