In total, for 10 months, sales of cars in our country were 1 million 457.9 thousand units, which is more by 14.1% than in January - October of the last year.

The most patriotic motorists live in Germany

Analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" made a rating of the European countries according to the share which is occupied by national car manufacturers in home market.
So, the automotive market of Germany which is the largest in Europe is also the leader of the market share of local car industry - following the results of 11 months of 2009 it makes 69%. France has the second result where Renault and PSA occupied 54.2% of home market. Italy is on the third place where 33% of cars are on sale under domestic brands in this country. Russia has a little smaller index, where 30.5% of motorists prefer production of domestic car industry (AVTOVAZ, GAZ, UAZ and "IzhAvto"). The Great Britain closes "five" of the most "patriotic" car markets of Europe and there national brands occupy 16.6% of the market. If not to consider the brand Vauxhall under which cars Opel of local manufacture are on sale then the share of truly British brands and these are mainly manufacturers of premium-cars and sportcars will make only 4.6%. Further follows Spain where Seat and Santana supervise 8.9% of the internal car market and the local ZAZ in Ukraine occupies 7.6% from the whole automotive sales in this country.
Manufacturers of the Detroit three supervise 44.6% of the automotive market of the USA. Foreign brands dominate in the car market of China (basically these are cars assembled on the joint ventures with world car manufacturers) and the share of actually Chinese brands makes a little more than 30%. But in Japan local car manufacturers occupy about 90% from the whole sales of cars.
