Import of trucks to Russia decreased in 5 times

On data of the analytic agency �AUTOSTAT�, during three months of the current year there were imported 4720 trucks. This is in 5 times less than for the same period of 2008, when the volume of import of trucks exceeded 23, 3 thsd units.
The analysts of �AUTOSTAT� note that the rates of decrease of interest of buyers in the automotive technics depend directly of its carrying capacity. So, the least fall is seen in the sector of light commercial transport: only in 4 times. The import of average and heavy technics was influenced the most: negative dynamics is reaching 90 � 95% by some makes. On this background reduction of volumes of import of prime movers in five times is not so significant (from 12, 9 to 2, 6 thsd units).
The main reasons of reduction of import are decrease of demand on commercial technics (that led to a significant increase of dealer�s stock of technics) and the increased customs duties.
