In March Europeans bought in 1, 5 times more cars than in February

The market of passenger cars decreased by 9% to 1506249 cars in the countries of EU on totals of March of 2009. So, the decrease of sales of cars is seen already the 11th month. However, the number of negative indexes is decreasing. In January the fall of realization against the last year constituted 27%, in February � 18, 3%.The result of March is higher than the index for the previous month by 55, 6%, it means more than in 1, 5 times. So, on totals of the first quarter the sales of cars in Europe decreased by 17, 2% to 3439720 units against 4154778 cars, realized for the same period of the last year.
As it is noted in the overview of the automotive market of Europe for March, on totals of January all countries showed negative dynamics. In February three European countries had positive results; on totals of March the positive results dynamics was seen in six countries. Among them are: Italy and France. Last year there were introduced measures on change of old cars into more ecological ones. In Germany, which was the first one to introduce such grant, the sales grew by 39, 9% and constituted 400965 units.
