Export of Chinese cars decreased in two times because of Russia

In the first quarter of 2009 the export of cars from China decreased by 62% to 61 thsd units. During January � February the deliveries if Chinese cars to foreign markets decreased by 61, 7%, in February � by 66%, which is a record.
As Auto.Lenta.Ru, the fall of export also touched the segment of �sedans� � the demand on these cars outside the country decreased by 71% - almost in three times. As the experts note, the export plans of Chinese car manufacturers �attacked� the protection measures, undertaken by the Russian government. The Russian market was considered to be the biggest consumer of cars from China, that is why the new customs duties, introduced at the beginning of the year, led to reduction of import of Chinese cars in several times. On totals of the first quarter, the sales of Chery cars in Russia decreased by 82%; the demand on cars Great Wall � by 68%.
