In March in Russia there was output by 23% more passenger cars than in February

On data of the Federal Service of the state statistics, on totals of the first quarter the production of passenger cars fell by 62, 9% against the same period of the last year and constituted 123 ths cars.
According to estimation of the agency �AUTOSTAT�, in March nearly 57, 9 thsd cars left the Russian conveyers, which is by 52, 5% less than a year before and by 23, 4% more than the previous month. Meanwhile, as the analysts of �AUTOSTAT� note, in March some enterprises (AVTOVAZ, UAZ, GM) continued to function half of the week. GM � AVTOVAZ stoppped the conveyer since the 27th February until the 10th March in connection with production of the restyled Chevrolet Niva.
�TagAZ� restarted the production of cars on the 23rd of March after a 1, 5 � months standstill. Besides, GAZ stopped the output of sedans Volga Siber last month.
As for production of trucks, since the beginning of the year the Russian factories output 16, 3 thsd cars, which is by 75, 4% less than for the same period of the last year. In March the output of trucks constituted 7, 6 thsd units, which is by 69, 6% less than a year before, but by 64, 9% more than the index for the previous month. Nearly 2, 2 thsd trucks were output at KAMAZ and almost 4 thsd at the car factory in Gorkij (this factory realized the plan for March in shortened period � since the 10th until the 31st March).
Production of buses in January � March of 2009 decreased by 69, 2% to 5, 3 thsd cars. In March there were output nearly 2, 3 thsd units more, which is by 57% less than a year before and by 67% more than in February.
So, as the analysts of �AUTOSTAT� note, the Russian car industry increased the production in March by 27, 7 % (against the previous month) by all types of the automotive technics.
