On data, got by the analytic agency AUTOSTAT at the international association of car manufacturers of Brazil (Anfavea), last month the sales of cars (including LCV) grew by 17% to 225959 units at the local market. The following global concerns have their factories of full cycle in Brazil: Audi - Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, General Motors, Ford and Fiat. The duties on import of cars to Brazil exceed 100%, so the main players at the market are makes with local production. The leader by volume of sales of passenger cars in the first quarter was Volkswagen with index 139381 units (+10, 2%). The second place belongs to Fiat with 128138 of sold cars (-3, 5%). General Motors is on the third place in the TOP 3 of leaders of the Brazilian market: its volume of sales constituted 102523 of passenger cars (-12, 9%).
