Prices of cars LADA in spring

Events of the last week of March of 2009 defined the price policy for cars LADA for spring � summer and made the market more lively. We remind that AVTOVAZ has decreased the prices of cars of 2008 model�s year (to 10%) and at the same time increased the sale prices of cars of 2009 model�s year (on 2, 5%). According to estimation of the analytic agency �AUTOSTAT�, for the beginning of April the stock of AVTOVAZ numbered nearly 90 � 100 thsd cars, over one half of them are of last model�s year. The dealers accepted the initiative of AVTOVAZ to decrease the prices, which made the demand more lively. At least the number of calls to dealer centers and information services grew.
Unfortunately, the promised decrease of prices within 20 � 40 thsd rur did not occur. Nevertheless, the retail cost of many models LADA fell on 5 � 10 thsd rur, which is also good for consumers. On the background of rising cost of cars of 2009 model�s year (+ 3- 6 thsd rur), the difference by some models reaches 10 � 15 thsd rur, depending on model�s year. The range of modifications and bundlings of the most popular VAZ models are difficult to find. On data of Togliatti service �Autospravka�, it is hard to find the last year�s classical sedans LADA 21054, universals LADA KALINA 1117, as well as hatchbacks LADA PRIORA 2172 and LADA SAMARA 2114. The specialists of the analytic agency �AUTOSTAT� say that the cheapest VAZ model LADA 21054 costs 150 � 155 thsd rur now. The most expensive serial LADA PRIORA costs nearly 330 � 350 thsd rur.
