Production of cars decreased by 56% in Japan

In February there was output 481 396 units of automotive technics in Japan, which is by 56, 2% less than in February 2008. Meanwhile the production of passenger cars fell by 57, 4% to 403144 units. The output of trucks reduced less � by 47, 1% to 71 693 units; the indexes for buses are: 51, 1% to 6559 units. In total, for the first two months of the current year, production of cars decreased by 49% to 1 057 935 units. These data were provided for the analytic agency �AUTOSTAT� by the Japanese association of car manufactures (JAMA).
The analysts note that the February�s fall of production of the automotive technics is more significant in Japan, than in January (-40%). The main factor of the negative dynamics is a significant fall of volumes of export (-64% in February). Meanwhile the registration of new cars at the inside market is also reducing, but not so fast as export (in February � 24, 3%).
