AVTOVAZ admits that the production plan for the current year, which now amounts to about 400 thousand LADA cars, will be adjusted within 10%. This was stated to the agency "Prime" by the president of the company Maxim Sokolov, adding that in January-October 293 thousand cars have already been produced. According to him, the adjustment of the production plan is due to the sanctions imposed on AVTOVAZ, which caused the failure of logistics and financial chains. At the same time, despite all the difficulties, the plant continues to work without reducing productivity - every 26 seconds a new car comes off the assembly line.
Meanwhile, AVTOVAZ plans to sell 37.5 thousand LADA cars in Russia in November, said Mr. Sokolov. In October, as a reminder, Russian LADA dealers sold a record number of cars for the last 10 years - 40.9 thousand vehicles. Relative to these high figures in November sales are expected to decrease by 8.3%, and in compare with November last year - growth by 72.8%. The head of AVTOVAZ also noted that the plan for production is slightly higher. Here, the company is moving ahead of schedule in order to meet demand in January: during the holidays, when the assembly line will be idle.
In addition, according to Mr. Sokolov, in December AVTOVAZ plans to resume the production of LADA Vesta and Niva cars that meet the Euro-5 environmental standard. Also, the Niva Legend and Niva Travel SUVs will be equipped with anti-lock braking systems (ABS).
