Experts from the AUTOSTAT agency have compiled a rating of Russian regions whose residents buy the most used cars. It is headed by Moscow, whose residents purchased 251 thousand used cars following the results of 8 months of 2023. Second place is taken by the Moscow region with a result of 230 thousand units.
The Krasnodar Territory is in the top three leading regions – from January to August, 195 thousand used passenger cars were purchased there. The barrier of one hundred thousand sold used cars was overcome by five more constituent entities of the Russian Federation, namely: St. Petersburg (144 thousand vehicles), Rostov region (115 thousand vehicles), Tatarstan (106 thousand vehicles), Sverdlovsk region (105 thousand vehicles) and Bashkortostan (103 thousand vehicles). In addition to them, the Chelyabinsk region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory are also in the TOP 10 (91 thousand and 88 thousand vehicles, respectively).
We should remind that for 8 months of this year, Russians became owners of 3.82 million used passenger cars.
