AVTOVAZ has started sales of “charged” LADA Granta Sport cars, which are now offered in two body types – sedan and liftback. The cost of the LADA Granta Sport in the sedan body is 1 million 249 thousand 900 rubles, in the liftback body – 1 million 289 thousand 900 rubles, the press service of the automaker reports. Under the bonnet of the LADA Granta Sport there is a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 118 hp, which is modified according to the standards of the LADA Sport company.
Changes have been made to the intake and exhaust systems, fuel system, gas distribution mechanism, as well as the engine controller program. The direct-flow exhaust system provides reduced resistance and a sporty engine sound during dynamic acceleration. The suspension with a 20 mm lowering and sporty settings helps realize the engine's potential. Lowering the car's center of gravity allows you to increase the maximum speed when driving in an arc. The shock absorber adjustment ensures stable contact of the wheel with the road surface and maintains comfort when driving on public roads.
The LADA Granta Sport uses special soft tires with technologies proven in motorsport. New tires provide a larger contact patch with the road and maintain controllability on cold and wet asphalt. Both axles feature by high-performance disc brakes that allow you to slow down reliably from high speeds and are less prone to overheating. The understated silhouette of the LADA Granta Sport car looks dynamic and recognizable. Bumpers, sills, trunk lid - everything works to improve aerodynamics. The car body kit, tested in the AVTOVAZ wind tunnel, allows you to distribute optimally the lift force along the axles, as well as reduce the lift force coefficient by up to 45%.
The interior of LADA Granta Sport is distinguished by a special contrasting finish. Seats with pronounced lateral support provide driver and passenger comfort during vigorous maneuvering. The leather-wrapped steering wheel helps keep the rim secure during active driving, and the red zero mark promotes more precise steering on special trails. The red color traditional for motorsport is used both in the design of the instrument cluster and on the bumper moldings. In addition, LADA Granta Sport is equipped with air conditioning, heated seats and mirrors, ABS, front airbags, an audio system, etc.
