The used car market grew by a quarter in August

According to the AUTOSTAT agency, in the last month of summer this year, the residents of the Russian Federation purchased 551.3 thousand used cars. This is 25.6% more than the result of August 2022. Agency experts noted that for the fourth month in a row, the volume of the secondary market in our country exceeds 500 thousand vehicles.

Moreover, the August figure is the maximum since November 2021, i.e. for the last 22 months. As for the results of 8 months of 2023, during this period 3.82 million used passenger cars were purchased in Russia. And this is also a quarter (+25.5%) more than in January–August of last year.
