AVTOVAZ spoke about the localization of components for LADA

AVTOVAZ currently has a pool of suppliers that includes about 500 partners who provide direct deliveries to the conveyor, as well as more than 1,400 sub-suppliers. According to the AVTOVAZ press service, together with its partners, the company is constantly working to strengthen the technological sovereignty of the LADA brand, localize key components and necessary materials. To date, this work has been successfully completed for one thousand components and materials.

“AVTOVAZ has been given ambitious goals to increase the production of new cars, contain prices and release new models in 2024-2025. Their achievement directly depends on each partner of our company and his ability to ensure stable supplies of the required volume of components, at the right time and with the right quality,” said AVTOVAZ President Maxim Sokolov at a recent international conference of suppliers. Let us remind you that AVTOVAZ is currently developing a new family of segment “B” on the global XJO platform. Production of the new product, which will be called LADA Iskra, should begin at the end of 2024 at the company’s plant in Tolyatti, and sales will start in the first quarter of 2025. The new family will be available in three body styles: sedan, station wagon and cross-station wagon.

At the same time, the LADA Iskra will be presented in the market in parallel with the more compact and budget LADA Granta and will eventually completely replace this model in the AVTOVAZ line: production of the LADA Granta is planned to be completed by 2027. In addition, the debut of a crossover on the LADA Vesta platform is scheduled for the end of 2025.
