Satisfaction with Chinese cars is growing in Russia

Satisfaction with cars of Chinese origin among Russians is growing. This conclusion was made by the specialists of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" after comparing the data of surveys of car owners in 2019 and 2023. A number of satisfaction indicators were taken as a basis (assembly quality, reliability, car handling, safety, and a number of others), a score was applied (the maximum possible score is 100 points), and a general index was derived. A comparative analysis showed that from 2019 to 2023, the satisfaction of Russians with Chinese cars as a whole increased by 4.2 points. At the same time, we should note that according to many qualitative characteristics, the respondents gave the “Chinese” quite high scores (in the range from 80 to 94 points).

According to some criteria, in 2023 the rating became higher than in 2019, that is, it improved. In others, on the contrary, it decreased. The highest scores both now and four years ago were received by the appearance / design of cars and interior design in salons (90 points and above). Respondents in 2023 noted that Chinese cars significantly improved acceleration dynamics (+15.2 points in compare with 2019), paint durability (+13.4 points), build quality (+8.1 points) and noise isolation (+ 7.5 points). Slightly less, but still improved the safety of cars (+4.7 points), their reliability (+3.2 points) and functionality, by which we mean the presence of the necessary options (+2.4 points).

But such qualities as visibility, handling and stability on the road, ergonomics - showed a small "minus".
