AVTOVAZ showed an elongated LADA Vesta sedan

AVTOVAZ showed the Speaker of Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, an elongated sedan based on the LADA Vesta platform, which is currently under development and will be presented for the first time at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in mid-June.

Evgeny Shmelev, the first executive vice-president of AvtoVAZ, told TASS agency that the car was designed with increased comfort for passengers in the back seat, it involves a body lengthened by 250 mm. Recall that the executive version of LADA Vesta sedan has already been produced in Togliatti and was called LADA Vesta Signature. Released four such cars were used as official vehicles for the management of AVTOVAZ, but the project did not receive further development, writes the Wroom.ru portal. Apparently, the car based on the updated LADA Vesta was created according to the same scheme as the 2016 Signature: an extended wheelbase, original roof and rear door panels, improved interior trim.

According to unofficial data, AVTOVAZ plans to produce an elongated Vesta in small series, but this will not begin until 2025.
