Experts interviewed by AUTOSTAT agency told whether it would help AVTOVAZ increase its market share, which began to decline in 2023, also due to problems with components. According to Denis Reshetnikov, the head of dealer direction of FRESH automotive marketplace, due to the affordable price, the restyled version of LADA Vesta should be included in the list of cars that can be purchased under the state soft lending program, which can positively affect both the sales of model itself and the total sales of AVTOVAZ.
The automaker itself plans to produce up to 100,000 updated LADA Vesta in 2023 if the car is in high demand. In turn, the development director of Pragmatika, Alexander Shaprinsky, notes the limitation in sales today - possible irregular deliveries due to sanctions pressure. In his opinion, everything that will be produced and delivered will be sold thanks to the popularity of the model among consumers. The release of LADA Vesta will undoubtedly lead to an increase in the market share of AVTOVAZ.
"I do not think that the release of the restyled Vesta will allow AVTOVAZ to increase seriously its share. Still, the reason for its decline is, among other things, the active entry of Chinese brands into the market. Therefore, there will be some slight increase in the share, but rather, we will see a redistribution within the current LADA sales volumes, and Vesta will simply take away part of the share from Granta. Of course, the novelty will provoke a certain interest in the brand. Especially if AvtoVAZ employees can launch a high-quality marketing campaign," sums up Sergey Novoselsky, Director of Marketing and IT of the Petrovsky Group.
